Title: Scallopped Potatoes, with Leftovers From Thanksgiving

1smWhite onion; sliced thin
4mdBaked potatoes; sliced
  ;s&p
4ozSharp Cheddar; grated
  Milk

Saute onion in fat. In a buttered casserole put a layer of potatoes, half the onion, 1/3 the cheese; then a layer of potatoes, half the onion, 1/3 the cheese; then a final layer of potatoes and the rest of the cheese. Salt and pepper between each layer as you build. Pour milk to come 3/4 of the way up the top and bake at 350 until top is browned and milk is mostly absorbed. From: Michael Loo Date: 02 Dec 97
